| About the project: | Bright two-bedroom energy plus house flats for student families with children. The project consists of three standalone three- or four-storey buildings at Kringsjå Student Village. Solid wood, solar panels, grey water recycling and local geothermal heating are features in accordance with the student village’s green identity. The flats also meet the requirements for being a FutureBuilt pilot project. The buildings are located on the quiet outskirts of the student village, with great outdoor areas and a playground right outside the door. SiO's vision for Kringsjå is to create a vibrant and exciting student village for all who live there. The outdoor areas are upgraded with training facilities and common areas for activity. Kringsjå square is established, with seating, petanque, and a water table that can be used as an ice skating rink during winter. Further down in the student village there is an area for recreation with orchard and plant boxes the students are free to use.
